Ida went to Bukoma C to teach about parenting skills. She told the members that good parenting involves:
A great deal of consistency and routine which gives children a sense of control.
A style that considers children’s age and stage of development.
Ida also encouraged parents to:
Listen to what their children say.
Be good role model (be examples) remember children imitate what they do.
Be forgiving parents.
Guide with LOVE regardless of what they do.
Parents should also know that warm homes breed children who are less denying, defensive and ensure of their worth.
Members apologized for the low turn up because of the funeral of a prominent resident and the few that came were chosen by members as their ambassadors.
They also thanked Kibo for the great love and lessons.
