Purpose of the visit, Manuela had planned to go to Kagulu village to resume her lesson with her participants, she was prepared to review the previous lessons then teach about causes and dangers of abortion, but unfortunately due to unavoidable circumstances she did not teach, she decided to go home to home to visit the few participants who did not go for burial prayers. Kagulu village is dominated by Muslim and it’s their culture to pray for the dead after 40 days. The annoying part of this trip is , Manuela called the chairman and other mobilization team and they did not tell Manuela about the burial prayer, Manuela on her way still called their chairman and that was the time he told her about the burial prayers but the chairman told Manuela that the burial prayer will be in evening, he encouraged Manuela to continue with her journey. Manuela reached the village and everyone was happy to see her again but also they were getting ready to go the for ceremony, she told them that the chairman told her that the ceremony will be evening, they told Manuela that the person who was supposed to lead that ceremony changed his mind after being called that his mother is very sick and he needs to be there. Manuela told them that it’s okay she will teach next time. Manuela decided to go to some stubborn family members that don’t want to come and study yet they are dirty. She found them at home, and she talked to them about the value of education and personal hygiene, she even told them about Life Skills, they promised her that they will be coming for like Skills program.

2021-09-04 - Purpose: On that day, Manuela will review the previous lessons then she will teach about causes and dangers of abortion.

21702 Kagulu village, Manuela was talking to these ladies about their personal hygiene, when Manuela reached this home she found everything untidy, she told them prevention is better than cure, she advised their mother to talk her daughters that, since they have babies it would not look good for the young ones to get sick all the time.
