Notes
Suzan and Tape went to the village to continue teaching the members how to build the fuel efficient stoves. This time the members would build the stoves while Kibo staffs guided them. They arrived and went to a home where the stove was going to be built and found the members preparing the materials for building the stove. They began mixing the dirt with the grass whereby it made six basins of grass and ten basins of dirt basing on the saucepans that were going to be used. The members began participating in all the stove building stages as Kibo staff guided them through out. This was very important because the community needed to be fully empowered with all the skills of building the saving stoves and be able to sustain themselves in the future. During the process, there was a woman who looked very sick and helpless next to a home where the stove was being built, Kibo staff approached her and asked why she wasn’t in the group. She slowly replied saying she wished she would be part of the team but due to her current health status, she couldn’t because she was so weak and had taken long without eating proper food. Some of her young active children participated in the program and Kibo staff suggested they build for her also a fuel efficient stove since her children were participating in some steps. The members agreed to do so and fixed a date to do that. On hearing that, she got so excited and blessed Kibo group more wishing them luck in whatever they did. Later after building the stove, Suzan and tape thanked all the members for the good work carried out and requested them to continue repairing their facilities as well as maintaining them.
