Harriet and Jeska went to Butabira village to continue guiding participants how to build stoves. The participants gathered all the materials required for building stoves and peacefully identified the participants who was to get a stove. She had all the home facilities in place and well smeared. Kibo staff asked the community to build a stove on their own as kibo staff guides. The interesting part of the day that was an active couple that participated in the stove building process from the beginning to end. They committed themselves to collect all the dirt that will be used to build the stove.
Richard the husband said that since this program will improve the healthy status of their family it’s worthy to work together as husband and wife for the success of the program.
At the end of the day the community successfully built one stove with the guidance of kibo staff. Kibo staff also asked the rest of the women who were participating by themselves to encourage their husband also to participate in the program. Kibo staff also asked the community to keep on practicing because practice makes perfect.
