Notes
Enock made a visit to this village to continue encouraging, guiding, monitoring, assessing, evaluate and call the community residents for a general meeting as we also plan for the second evaluation survey. When he reached the community, he teamed up with the local leaders to walk around the community to continue sensitizing the residents on the standardization of all the facilities more so latrines, shower areas, dish racks, kitchen areas, hand washing facilities, rubbish pits. There has been great response from the local leaders and the entire community members on issues regarding sanitation and hygiene improvements. There are many new latrines which are under construction, shower areas, and we have realized that this community has many rubbish pits dug and used. This shows how many people have learnt the core importance of all the facilities. There has also been an increase in hand washing construction and usage. We continued encouraging and teaching the residents to use Omo detergent or bar soap while washing their hands. The community residents have continued embracing buy of cement to plaster all their hand washing stands. During the visit the chairman and VHTs reported to us that their is aNGO called ActionAid which visited the village to sensitize on issues regarding to COVID and Standard operating procedures. When they saw how many people have embraced hand washing they appreciated the work kibo group is doing in their area.
