Notes
Tape went to the lower section of the village to follow up on the stove usage for those who had already started to cook on them, construction of the firewood storages and the dish racks. When she got there she was welcomed by the group chairperson mr. waiswa and some other members whom she found sitting at the meeting center. Tape informed the members about the activity that day and together they got up and began walking around the village while checking on different program facilities. During the process, they kept on entering the kitchens while checking on stove usage and tape found the women cooking on their stoves with no complaints. Other members about four of them complained about smoke not coming out from the kitchens but tape reminded them how they chose to build their stoves basing on the wind direction they selected themselves. And so that was the reason why some stoves didn’t bring out smoke because they were put at a wrong wind direction. She only advised them to rebuild the stoves at a right wind direction. Some kitchens had constructed strong firewood storages as well as good dish racks and some houses well smeared. She thanked the members for the good work carried out and requested them to continue cooking on their stoves on a daily basis as well as improving on their facilities, and the meeting came to an end.
