- Maria and Irene went to Kishaike to introduce the program to the local council leaders. The meeting started with a word of prayer, then the chairperson thanked Kibo for the love they have extended to the village and the programs that have been in this village; the Mvule program which taught them the importance of planting a tree which later gave them goats so as to boost their income in their families / community, the WASH program which helped them improve their sanitation and later provided a bore hole, the Healthy kitchen stoves that have highly eased the health of many women and love in the family. The chairperson Kibo group was so happy for the programs that are so far in this village and she promised to work with every program that will come in the village. She encouraged the mobilizers to mobilize the community members to come in the community health education lessons so that they all learn and get knowledge about their health. Maria was welcomed to speak to the members, she started by thanking all members for coming, and participating in the other programs then introduced her name, the organization and the program to the members, Maria and the members discussed on the day, Venue, and time that the meeting shall be conducted. Maria gave the options on the field days letting the members know that Tuesday and Thursday are office days.Members agreed on the day,time,and venue. Irene thanked the members for turning up and then gave a detailed explanation on what the health education program provides,like knowledge on prevention,referrals to hospitals,observations on the general hygiene,pregnant mothers,breast feeding mothers, children for malnutrition and other health related issues. Irene also emphasized that they only give advise,creating awareness, and referrals but don’t give treatment to the community members. Irene then welcomed questions from the members and after a detailed interaction the meeting ended with a word of prayer from the chairperson Kibo.
