Enock and Steven made a visit to this community to meet with all the local leaders, and the entire community residents about the acquisition a new borehole. The meeting was also aimed at clarifying to the residents about how COVID has slowed down the process and increased more time to wait till the surveyors. They talked about patience and asked the residents to continue being patient, contribute money for feeding he drillers, encouraged them to work as a team and participate during the surveying process, accept the location which the surveyor decides. They also talked about the current sanitation and hygiene improvements emphasized maintenance, standardization of all the facilities, roofing of latrine structure and why it’s so important to have a proper roof, guided the residents about hand washing construction for those who haven’t completed to take it seriously as it’s a good behavior to wash hands with soap and if you don’t have soap use ash or lemon juice squeezed from the fruit peels. During the meeting we also told the community that the surveyors will be coming in two weeks time, and after the surveying, it may take a few days before the drillers to come. We emphasized maximum cooperation and hard work during this time since it may take them a-whole day of participation. The residents and the chairman LC1 accept to work together and pledged to be cooperative and also accepted to continue improving all the facilities which are constructed in their homes and those which are missing will be completed before the two weeks.

2021-10-13 - Purpose: To check on the progress of hand washing construction and usage in all homes, emphasize dish rack construction and roofing of latrines, guide the community members and local leaders on the core importance of proper sanitation and standardization of facilities to avoid wasting of time doing things wrongly more so construction of latrines
