Notes
Jessica went to the village to coordinate with the participants from the lower section of the village to go and teach the community members from the upper section how to build the fuel efficient stoves. However when she arrived there, she found a few members with the village chairperson L.c.1 whom she went with to the upper section of the village. They went to a home which had two house wives sharing one kitchen and they agreed to build for them one fuel efficient stove since they were happily sharing the kitchen. Together they began collecting dirt from the termite anthill while carrying it to the compound outside the kitchen. Two young men came by and also began participating in the stove building lessons which was so encouraging to see. Jeska with the help of the men began measuring the dirt 2-1 basin of grass and then mixed it while other members were watching critically. Water was sprinkled and together they began stamping the dirt until it got ready for building. Jesica entered the kitchen and began building the stove step by step while explaining the whole process to the members because the community from the upper section didn’t know the skills of building the stove. Later after it was built, Jessica requested the members especially the active youth men to continue attending the program lessons so that they learn all the skills easily which would enable them continue building stoves for the remaining members at the upper section. The community members thanked Jeska for the lessons taught and promised to participate in the next coming meeting.
