Notes
Suzan went to the village to teach the community how to remove the banana stems from the fuel efficient stove, follow up on the construction of the firewood storages and smearing of the buildings. However when she arrived, she found some active members already in the kitchen where the stove was built trying to take out the banana stems. Some of the stems were taken out and Suzan explained how it was supposed to be done with a sharp shovel making sure the stove was not damaged. Later after taking out the stems, Suzan requested Edisa the owner of the kitchen to make sure she looked after the stove by smearing it once in a week so as to avoid cracks and not to cook on it until it made one month. She then walked around the village with three committee group leaders and checked on the maintenance of the program facilities while mobilizing new members to join the program lessons so that they also receive the fuel efficient stoves. This was because some members were found cooking on the three stones open flames stoves. On the way,she also noticed that some houses were neatly smeared and most kitchens had constructed good firewood storages with stocked firewood. Suzan advised the members to always use stronger materials while constructing their facilities so that they lasted longer. She thanked everyone for the good work carried out and encouraged them to continue working together as a team for an effective development in their community.
