Notes
Chris went to this community to continue with following up on requirements to receive the goats, Mvule community development program has been in this community since 2018 and now the community is at the stage of getting of getting goats from kibo group, at this stage, the Mvule staff decided that a community member will not getbthe goat simply bevause they have been attending the meetings of contributing money for the community group however, they considered a number of factors which include presence of all sanitation facilities at every members’ home. Chris was able to reach 19 homes , he found out that every home had a new facility being constructed which indicated that the community is almost ready to receive the goats from kibo, among the homes chris visited , the most interesting one was for Mrs Nabirye Scholastica a pregnant mother of 8 children who has never had any sanitation facility at her home, chris found her constructing a dishruck while her son brian was digging a rubbish pit meanwhile the toilet is still under construction, Mrs Nabirye has an interesting story because her husband who is a bodaboda rider declined to construct a toilet and bathroom because he claims he never wants uses any of them, the wife says he leaves early in the morning and comes back late in the night however mrs Nabirye is very thankful to the community members who united and build a bathroom and a toilet , she also thanks mvule program for deciding to consider sanitation as a requirement to receive the goats, she said it is for this reason everyone is constructing sanitation facilities because they dont want to miss out, chris encouraged her to talk to her husband the importance of having time for his children and the importance of improving sanitatoon at home. Chris will continue following up on requirements to receive the goats next week .
