Notes
Suzan went to the village with the intention of guiding the community as they build the stoves on their own as well as following up on the construction of the firewood storages in the kitchens. However, when she arrived there, she found one of the active committee leaders Madam Namuganza at the same time the selected group secretary with three other participants. Namuganza and the other members informed Suzan about the death of one of the members child in the previous night and most members had gone to the funeral. They decided to walk together and check on the program facilities as well as the stove usage since the group canceled the stove building activity that day. As they walked, Suzan observed that most facilities were well maintained and smeared although there were some mistakes made on the stoves they tried building on their own. She requested the members present to inform the other members to hold on to stove building meanwhile Kibo staff will plan and go correct their mistakes while guiding them on how to properly build good stoves especially taking measurements. She also encouraged them to construct the firewood storages using stronger poles so that they lasted longer and saved enough firewood. Namuganza and the other ladies agreed to inform the others about the suggested ideas and Suzan left the village wishing them well.
