Bible Lesson 3: The love of God

Diana and Ida went to Igerera B to continue with the lesson of Trust in God. Diana and Ida got the community ready for the lesson. Rose welcomed everyone and thanked them for attending the lessons. She requested James to open with a word of prayer. It is interesting that although James was drunk, he said a good prayer that made everyone clap for him. He went to tell the women to be vigilant and cautious, they should not trust any one, instead, they should trust in God. He warned them not to sign any document that is given to them, because some women have lost their land to thugs. Diana and Ida appreciated James so much for his brilliant ideas. Ida told the community that they should not overlook James’s words because they are words of wisdom. Diana continued with the lesson by asking the community what they remember from the previous lesson. Sarah said that she remembers trusting in God, Mutesi said that she remembers not to put her trust in human beings, but to put it to God. Diana thanked everyone for participating. Diana taught that it is good for the community to surrender and put their troubles to God. She told them that they should learn to have patience in God. The patience will lead to their victory. Diana also told them that in everything, they should learn to put God first. God knows the best way to handle every situation, so we get the possible outcome and we need to trust Him with that. Philippians 4:19” But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in Glory by Jesus Christ”. Diana continued with this discussion with the community. Ida added on the discussion and asked them what they learn from Hanna’s story, Rose said that she learns to have patience in God. Ida said that it is true, when you are patient, you overcome many obstacles. She went on to say that in this lesson we learn that God is a peace maker. He brought peace in Hanna’s life by giving her a son(a prophet). This story also teaches everyone to have humility, despite all the insults from Peninnah, she chose to be humble. Ida added on that trust should be accompanied with respect. Have respect to God and to the people around you. Ruth one of the members thanked the Kibo for bringing these Educative lessons to their common Igerera B. Rose who was chairing the meeting, thanked everyone for being patient to the end of the lesson. She requested the Kibo staff to continue teaching, because the message was reaching deep in their hearts. Ida responded that because of time, the community empowerment will continue in the next visit. Rose thanked everyone for their time and thanked the community empowerment program for the good work they are doing in their community.
