Notes
While in this community Steven introduced the surveying team lead by Mr David to the area LC1 chairman Mr Kaluya who led Steven and the surveyors to the starting point of survey. The VHT and 50 community members who took the responsibility upon themselves to see that the process of survey was successful. WASH has been in this village since 2020, with a number of households close to 88 homes, WASH found the village with no safe water source and poor hygiene standards so they embarked on the task of teaching the communities about improving sanitation that had been neglected for long until the WASH realized that 99% of the homes are now open deification free and the sanitation facilities are now in place, for that reason the WASH had to start the process of drilling a well for the community. The surveyor was able to survey 10 points of would be water sources , after a thorough process of analysis the survey recommended for another day (tomorrow) of surveying because the water from those 10 points would not be enough for the whole community, the community members who were very hopeful to get a water source were very disappointed however Steven encouraged them to be patient and pray that the next survey would be successful. Steven left the surveyors in the community and came back to jinja to prepare for another survey the next day.
