Notes
Keneth visited kisimu village to help residents raise their sanitation standards and improve more specifically on their dish racks and hand washing stands construction.on arrival ,they couldn’t walk around many homes due to the weather as it was rainy. They managed to move in a few Homes advising and sensitizing on sanitation improvement of facilities generally but more specific on hand washing stands construction and dish racks. Keneth with the chairman mr kabaya and his representatives visited mr masinde Lawrence and guided him on siting of the hand washing stand near his latrine not to inconvenience the other person as he had a two stanced latrine, further they guided him on the improvement of his bath area on drainage and soak pit construction to prevent waste waster from logging and unsightliness. They further visited mr ganusi Nehemiah and health educated him on the site of the rubbish pit and standards and also usage because some residents dig new rubbish pits when old ones fill up and keneth advised him that when the contents are about to fill up, empty the upper fresh garbage and dig out the decomposed downer ones and use it as manure in plantation. Keneth also made a dialogue with some residents inquiring why they opt putting utensils in basin after washing and he later health educated on the dangers of such apractice and advised them to construct a dish rack and effectively use as it helps the sun to sufficiently heat on them and dry . He also met mr hamira Paul who had his bath area constructed with dried banana leaves and advised him on standards and height of ideal one ,further advised madam kaana nalubanjp on the standards of her bath area and also dangers of ditch dug near her latrine as it may log in water since it’s rainy and being hazardous to her life as the latrine may sink due to dampness.
