Notes
Abraham and Chris went to this village and distributed 30 goats to the 30 household members of the community, the Mvule community program has been in this community since the beginning of 2018, there was a lot of achievements which included planting 400 trees, establishing the community leadership , guiding the community to write their constitution , guiding them to start income generating activities like piggery and growing peas, guiding the community to register at the sub county and obtaining their certificate however the most tremendous achievement was uniting the community which was once divided along cultural lines. The function was officiated by the CDO Mr Hillary who cautioned the community members to use the goats for the purpose of development of households . The CDO thanked Kibo for helping the government in its efforts to create wealth in the communities and for that reason he appealed to the community members to uphold their constitution which they wrote themselves if the6 wanted to go further, the veterinary doctor Mr Waluube was also present to make sure the goats were very healthy, he also used that chance to remind the community members how to care for the goats, he said if they heeded to the advice he gave them on Monday, they will benefit from the goats. Chris thanked the community members for loving Kibo and being so patient with them whenever they come for lessons , Chris said giving the community goats does not mean it is the end of program but rather the beginning of sustainable development in the community, Chris thanked members for the relationship they had with Kibo and commended the the leaders for the great work they have been doing to mobilize the community for the lessons on development. The community members where very happy that Kibo group had fulfilled what they had promised, one members called Mr Elijah Kiirya has always harbored a dream of rearing cows and buying land for farming , he said now his dream is possible after Kibo group giving him a goat, he said when he takes care of his goat, the goat will give birth to many goats and his dream will be achieved, Mr Kiirya also advised the community members not to disappoint Kibo when they come back after one year, he said what Kibo wants is a progressive community that used the goats very well. Chris will be going back to this community to follow up on the members who received the goats to check how they are keeping the goats in their homes, he will then meet the community members to introduce a new lesson on self progress.
