Notes
Diana went to Igerera B, to continue with the lesson of Harmony and unity in marriage. Diana got the community ready for the lesson. James welcomed everyone and thanked them for attending in person. He went a head to tell the women to pay attention to whatever is being taught to them. This caused laughter from the rest of the women, echoing “what about men?, they should also pay attention to whatever is being taught to them, not only women”. Diana thanked them for having a vibrant spirit and told them that unity is not for one party but it is for both, that means every one has to pay attention. Diana asked Gabeya to remind the community of the previous lesson, she said that, she learnt to have humility, Mirembe said she learnt to seek wise counsel to enable her run her marriage, Nanyama said it is not good to point fingers to your spouse as this will spark off anger. Diana thanked everyone for their contribution and told them that they should keep up the same spirit of humility. Diana went on to say that respect should be practiced in marriage. Husband and wives have to show respect to themselves. Nairuba Perusi added on that Women should be submissive to their husbands, Diana added on that like the Bible says in the book of Ephesians ‘Wives submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord, For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church” . Men have to make it an obligation to love their wives, the same to the women. This will keep harmony and unity in their marriage. Diana went on to ask the community if the wife should follow her husband to church, Namansa said it is a good habit for couples to pray together to keep their marriage running in unity, Kawala said that children emulate their parents, therefore husbands and their wives should pray together to keep their marriage and family in harmony. Diana thanked them for having such beautiful ideas. She encouraged them to pray together in order to build up their families and to keep them in love. The discussion continued.Diana told the community that she will teach Parenting skills in the next lesson.
