From Buholo village, Tom and Mr Nkwanga made it to Bunangwe estate C. They were joined by the mayor of Nangonde town council, the chairman LC3 and the village chairman. They all met at the chairman’s home where Mr Nkwanga introduced Tom(kibo staff) to the whole group. They were all happy for Kibo to visit their village. Tom introduced himself and talked about Kibo, its plans and intentions in the village. He spoke of Kibo’s relationship with Namutumba district and pointed out that its the district that has don’t kibo to their village. All the leaders present and village leaders welcomed kibo to their village and promised to work with kibo and support the activities. While Tom was on the ground, he found out that the village in question is actually not Bunangwe estate C but Bunangwe B. This was confirmed after they called the district councilor to confirm the village the district is meaning. Th councilor also mentioned to them that the district had sent kibo to the village specifically so that Kibo can provide a borehole. Even though that was said, Tom mentioned that Kibo is not only about water but the most important part is the process of improving the sanitation and hygiene of the village before anything else. Tom encouraged them not to look merely on water but more so considering the sanitation as the cornerstone of clean water. The leaders were happy and welcomed kibo. They said they are willing to work with kibo and offer their support. Tom said he will be in touch with the chairman of the village come next year.
