Notes
Irene went to kalitumba to make a recap of all the health education lessons taught, give a feedback from the last evaluation made door to door checking on the health status of homes as this marked the last lesson in this village. The meeting started a little late because of the little drizzles, it started with a word from the chairman who thanked all members for turning up and kibo for the great work they are doing in their village, he continued to thank the health education program for the time they have spent in their village, the mothers they have linked into care, families they have helped with health issues like malnutrition and gifts offered to pregnant mothers( mama kits ) and all done so that their village improves in health related issues. He then welcomed Irene to say a word to the members. Irene thanked the chairman for embracing all kibo programs, the continued mobilization of members, thanked the members for the turn up whenever they are called upon, improving on their health, embracing hospitals, uptake of family planning methods and improved nutrition through the small vegetable gardens in their homes. Irene then took members through all the lessons briefly allowing them to ask questions in areas not understood, this was an interactive discussion because some of the lessons were discussed by the members themselves giving a remainder of what was said previously when the lesson was being taught. After the discussion Irene informed the members that there was another program that will be introduced next year in their village but as for now they should continue working together with the Mvule program because it also has much in stock for them. The meeting ended with few remarks from the community members who thanked kibo for introducing health education lessons because there are so many things related to health they have been doing that would harm their bodies or even have claimed the lives of many in their village because of ignorance but now that they have been equipped they will be vigilant to seek medical help, kibo should keep sending in more programs in their village because learning is a process and each time a program visits their village there is something new that they get out of it.
