Notes
Tom reached the village and together with the committee members, they started moving around the village checking on sanitation and hygiene improvements and specifically looking at facilities like latrines, dish racks and rubbish pits. They started by moving around the trading center where the committee members opted to move first. In the trading center they first checked the chairman of the committee's second home where they found that he has started on the new latrine and because of the hard rock, the person who was digging for him has decided to take a break. The second home, the latrine is done and he has been working on the dish rack and is about to be done. While in the trading center, Tom and the committee were able to see 3 new permanent latrines done and 10 new ones still under construction. After the trading center, Tom and the committee moved toward the upper section where they were able to see several pits as well as dish racks and rubbish pits that have already been done. Because of the rain that was threatening to come, Tom decided to leave after visiting about 28 homes
