Abraham and Alex B met Kitukiro community members to continue the discussion about opening of a community bank account. The chairperson Mrs Base told the meeting that they went to Kamuli town with Michael and Atiang to do a research as it was requested by the community members last time and they found out that centenary Bank can be their option because their charges are fair,with good customer care,reliable and also other banks are micro finance banks. She said that in centenary bank officials told them to take their constitution, certificate of registration, minute which shows that they decided as a community to open a bank account in their bank and fifty thousand shillings which they will deposit on their account. Abraham and Alex B asked where they have reached with brick making and the chairperson of brick making said that now they have seven hundred bricks, hoping by the end of this year they will have two thousand bricks. He said that they would like to wait on growing Peas because they think the season my not be good. Abraham and Alex B encouraged the community always to be thinking about keeping the bricks until it will be burnt because sometimes rain can destroy them. The chairman LC1 Budaala Kasadha thanked the members for the work they are doing and told the meeting that they can contribute four thousand per member and that will be three hundred thousand shillings to help them open a community account and other things they want to do. He said they need more money because the three signatories will need pass port photos, transport costs, lunch and also for weeding their Peas garden and they can’t use their personal money on community work. The all community supported the idea and they concluded that whoever has the four thousand can bring it to their treasurer as soon as possible and open the account. They want to open a community account before Christmas.

2022-01-24 - Purpose: To meet community leaders to review previous lesson , introduce decision to receive goats.
