Notes
Tape and Jeska went to Kamudoke village to teach the participants about smearing and the materials required for building stoves. Unfortunately the lesson did not take place as earlier planned because as soon as they reached in the village it started raining heavily. Since the meeting takes place under a tree the participants had to run back to their homes looking for shelter. They waited for the rain to stop but it did not stop. When the rain stopped it was already late for the meeting and they decided to sample some homes and see their kitchens as well as teach them from their homes about smearing and its importance. They taught them about smearing and its importance as how it can enable their kitchens look neat and last longer. They also reminded them that before the stove building excise kicks off they need to smear their home facilities first. They also asked them to reach out other community members and teach them about smearing. The participants promised to do so but also asked Kibo staff to re- schedule the meeting and teach the entire community because some participants believe in first hand information. Kibo staff took note of the idea and planning to carry out the next lessons in the coming meeting.
