Notes
Jeska and Tape went to kirwanire village to continue guiding participants as they build stoves on their own as well as follow up on smearing. They focused on the upper section of the village because most participants in this community were lagging behind. Before the stove building lessons, they first walked around the village while monitoring smearing progress, during the process, it was observed that the community members had greatly improved on their facilities especially by smearing their buildings which was encouraged and showed how much they were interested in the program. Later on, they teamed up with participants in the lower section who had so far learnt how to build . This was intended to promote good connection between participants from the lower section and the upper section as well as to encourage the participants to start building stoves on their own. They found when the participants had already gathered the materials required for building stoves. The community had already identified two participants for the stove. Kibo staff together with the participants from lower section , mixed the dirt and grass at a ratio of 2:1, sprinkled water in it, stamped it and built two stoves as they explained the whole process. They requested participants from the lower section to liaise with those ones in the upper section to ensure that every one in the group gets a stove. They also requested the participants to be cooperative for the program to be successful. The participants promised to work together to extend the service and love to the upper section. They also agreed among themselves that since some people have learnt how to build stoves, every day they will be meeting on their own and build a stove on their own because they want by the time x- mass break kicks every member to have got a stove. The participants who were lagging behind thanked Kibo for connecting them with those ones in upper section( who had mastered the skill), they also thanked those ones who have accepted to work with them despite of them being lazy.
