Diana went to Igerera to introduce the lesson of parenting. Diana got the community when it was ready for the lesson. The chairman mr. Kamya Charles welcomed Diana, and opened the meeting with the word of prayer. He thanked the kibo team for supporting him during the hard times he faced, when he lost his child. Kamya also thanked the community for keeping time and being ready for the lesson always. He welcomed Diana to take take them through the lesson. Diana thanked the chairman mr Kamya for welcoming her into their community. She also encouraged Kamya to be strong, because God knows why he took his child. He has to keep believing in him and not lose hope, because bigger things await him. Diana thanked the community for keeping time, she took them through a recap of the previous lesson. She asked them what they remember from the previous lesson, Naigaga said that, she learnt to show love to her husband, because he is the head of the family, Wubanja said that he learnt to show respect to his wife since she is the one that cooks and washes for him his clothes. The community members clapped for him as they laughed. Diana told them not to laugh because Mr. Wubanja is right, she encouraged the women to always make sure their husbands are happy and this applies to the men also. Diana also told them that, since they are going for the festive season, they should avoid pointing fingers to one another. Wives should be content with what their husbands put on table that day, and husbands should also try to make their families happy. Diana went ahead to tell the men that, if they don’t have enough money for Christmas, they should explain it to their families and they make a way forward for that day. Diana also talked about how to communicate in their families. Husbands and wives should not talk while shouting to each other. They should learn to control their tongue from speaking evil words. Mr Kamya Charles added on that the tongue should be used to bless, and please others. It should not be used to curse or abuse people. Diana also said that the tongue is a small thing in the body, but it can set the whole body on fire, if miss used. Namukose called upon the fellow women to listen to their husbands and be obedient to them. She added on that quarreling and fighting can not solve anything. The discussion went on as Diana encouraged them to live in harmony, love and peace, those who have food should share with those who don’t have, as this season is a day of showing love. No one can bring peace to them, except they themselves. The discussion became interesting. It stretched abit, but it was worth while. The community needed this talk so that they enjoy their festive season without any problem. Diana didnot introduce the lesson of parenting as she had planned to do. She will teach it in January 2022. She wished the community a merry christmas and a happy new year. The chairman mr . Charles Kamya, thanked Diana for the well packaged words she left for them. He told Diana to send their greetings to Kibo group and wish them a merry Christmas and a happy new year.
