Abraham and Alex B meet Buluvu community members to discuss the values of tree planting in the community and working together. They were told as soon as they reached that there was activity of breaking their boxes of money were they saved money for the whole year. It was hard to determine the turn up for the meeting. The leaders decided to begin the meeting with those that were present. The committee is serious about getting the money back to the community pool because they want to divide up the interests among members for Christmas. The new committee said they mobilized all the community members but they still have some challenge for all the community members to turn up for meetings. They added that as leaders should come up how to encourage everyone to attend meetings. They discussed about how they will mobilize the community and the LC1 chairperson Mr Bumali said that they want to change the way of mobilizing by giving the members deadlines like if one does not come to the meeting to pay some money in the next meeting. Mrs Namukose suggested that there those who will mis meetings with genuine reasons like death, sickness they will not pay fine. Mrs Joweriya also added that if a member takes responsibility and tell the leaders his or her problem it my not be sickness or death let him or her be granted permission to finish his or her problem because it may be family issues. The new committee said they are checking the trees which were given to them with Kibo and also encouraging them to plant more tree because their village needs more trees. They concluded that for the next meeting they hope to have all members coming to the meeting. Abraham and Alex B encouraged the members to do whatever it takes to see that the all community is represented not just few people. The continued to empower the new committee to mobilize all members not Muslims mobilizing themselves and Christians also mobilize themselves. Buluvu upper most are Muslims and lower are most Christians. Abraham and Alex B are hoping to continue with the discussion of values of planting trees and working together with all community members.
