Village Notes
This village before Kibo group went in,had a very poor sanitation coverage but now the whole village is proud of what they have managed to do now that all the homes have pit latrines and diseases have drastically reduced. Every one in the meeting thanked Kibo ( Tom) for the help and encouragement that helped them reach this status

Notes
Alex was in Buluvu for a meeting with the community members discussing about the achievements they have so far seen since Kibo group joined their community. He was also to talk about the intentions of Kibo to continue partnering in with them. All the members that turned up for the meeting appreciated so much Kibo and CLTS program for the encouragement to help the village ,greatly improve in their sanitation standards. They testified that they were in a horrible state and everyone in community thanked Kibo group for getting them out of the very bad state. One community member known as Malinzi John testified that he never had a pit latrine in his home and many of his neighbours and they would suffer from diseases like diarrhoea and typhoid daily. He also testified that it was normal seeing human faeces every where you would walk in Buluvu because majority didn’t have pit latrines and would defecate anywhere in the village both the young and the adults. It was very worse if one went to graze the cows in the bush and in the swamps, there was no way one would miss to step in human faeces. Alex then told them that they better remember never to go back to those old bad times and instead have a new village of Buluvu that everyone is proud of. Now that the diseases have reduced and the village has improved, Kibo will want to continue working with Buluvu more to work together as they look into drilling a borehole here.Alex will start to prepare this community for the water source program and continue to follow up on the individuals that are still finishing up on some facilities.
