Notes
Abraham and Kazimbakujira community leaders met to pave way how they are going to involve all the community members in Kibo programs. Abraham told the leaders that they need to make sure that the all community is involved in the program not few members as it has been. He informed them that according to WASH program from Kibo the community has two hundred and eighty house holds (280) but so far they have two hundred and eight (208) according to the list in their registration. They are to look for ways how they can reach the remaining seventy two house holds (72). The chairperson LC 1 Mr Papa Alfred said that as the village is big to call meetings in one place will be hard for other members to come but they can divide the village in three parts for meetings. He said that the big struggle they have is to bring the seventy two house holds to join the all community and he suggests that moving home to home will be the best tool to make sure they reach every household. The village LC Defence Mr Ebera supported the chairperson’s idea but he said that there some community members who are not cooperative like the one during WASH program who refused to construct a latrine and he was given two options to build one or to leave the village and he decided to sell his land and left the village. He said that they are going to meet such members. They moved around and visited ten homes of the community members mostly those who are not included in their constitution asking them to join them. In most homes they found women who showed interest in the program and they promised to share with their husbands when they come back. They decided that they are going to have three meeting points, one at the trading center of Kazimbakujira, another near where Kibo drilled a well and hit dry, another at the LC1 vice chairperson Mr John. They think everyone will be able at list to attend the meetings because some have been complaining of long distance to the meeting place. Abraham told the leaders that they are not going to get 100% of the community because of some reasons the LC1 defense said but they want to see that most community members participate in the program. They will be meeting in one place all of the community members every tenths of the month. He informed the leaders that they will be receiving some trees to plant in this rain season for replacement. They decided that the next meeting will be at Mr John’s home and they will also move home to home visit targeting those homes who have not been involved in the program from the beginning.
