Suzan went back to the village mainly at the upper section and completed the first evaluation process. She found madam Ida the VHT and three other group leaders whom she walked with at the remaining homes.
During the evaluation process, Suzan observed that most buildings had been repaired especially constructing new roofs and smeared both the inside and outside parts. Some women were found cooking on their new improved stoves which they reported that it has improved on their daily lives, they said they no longer suffer looking for firewood because the stoves uses less firewood yet it cooks faster.
Godfrey one of the group leaders said that there are more new members within and outside their village who are interested in getting the new stoves which they are planning once they find all the materials required. Betty one of the active members explained how her husband helps her cook food nowadays since they got a new stove in their kitchen.
This is mainly because they no longer have smoke inside the kitchens unlike those days when they used to cook on the traditional three stones stove. Together they managed to evaluate 34 households that day and Suzan encouraged all the members to continue cooking on their new stoves as well as maintaining all their facilities.

Kirwanire. Most buildings were found neatly smeared and well roofed. This meant that the community was now ready for other program lessons now that they had enough time.
