Notes
Abraham and Kitukiro community members met to continue discussing about a discussion to receive goats, also move home to visit. The chairperson Mss Base thanked the members who turned up for meeting while it was raining, she said most members returned to their homes when they saw rain coming at around noon. She told the meeting that for them they have started looking for ways of caring for goats and they decided that each member will have a portion to his or her land dedicated for planting grass for goats. She even reminded the members to plant a back clothe tree because its leaves are used to feed animals during dry seasons. She also informed the community members that so far they have made thirty two thousand bricks ( 32000) and they need to contribute money to buy fire wood for burning them. They have already contact the area MP Mr Magogo who assured them that after burning the bricks he will buy them all and the money will go to the community pool. Abraham thanked the commitment of the community members to come to the meeting in this wet day, commitment in making bricks. He asked them to have a day of discussing how they are going to burn the bricks because they may be damaged by this rain season which has started. They went through the decision to receive goats and one community member called Mr Saidu Mutasa asked if they will receive exotic goats or local goats, he also asked they will bring back the offsprings or not. Abraham thanked him and he said told him that they are going to get local goats because exotic goats needs more care which may be difficult for them. He told them that they will have to bring back the offsprings in form of some amount of money or real goat, this depends on what it easy for them to do. This has to go to the general pool because Kibo wants them to continue thinking of what else they can do to make their community a better place to live in. They bought the idea and said that they will be having meeting as a community to discuss it. Abraham introduced a new lesson which is caring for goats, he said that already they have started thinking about the lesson. The chairperson Mss Base said that they will set each aside a portion of his land for planting grass to feed goats. They are going to discuss about caring for goats.
