Tom made a,visit to Nabikenge village to discuss with them about hand washing triggering and improvements in the village. The village leaders were very happy to see Tom in their village and welcomed greatly the hand washing program. Tom first inquired about the sanitation standards in the village. The leaders said confidently that as per latrines, shower facilities and the kitchen, the village is well. Tom also appreciated them for taking good care of the borehole because to well maintained. The borehole compound is well swept and the fence still stands. The chairman of the village also said the subcounty has chosen Nabikenge as a demo village In Nsinze subcounty. Tom congratulated them for such a status in their subcounty tombr called the model village. Tom also encouraged them to keep the standards up. Later Tom introduced the idea of kibo going back to the village of trigger hand washing and to improve hand washing in the village. Tom also echoed the many benefits of hand washing and most of them was quick to connect it to prevention and control of diseases such as Covid. The leaders were very thankful and said they are very happy for the program and said they will support and embrace it. Tom said he will communicate to the village and soar it will be the responsibility of the leaders to Mobilize the rest of the village residents. The leaders said they will mobilize each other and promised a good turn up.
