- Tape went to Busene village for a home to home visit which was intended to see the cooking methods, whether they have the home facilities required for the program as well as mobilize the participants for the healthy and safe kitchens program. She was joined by the three community leaders including the chairperson Lc1 to walk through the homes of the community members. They focussed on the village center and walked through over 22 homes. Most participants were cooking on the traditional open flames which would easily cause fire accidents,produced a lot of smoke , and used a lot of firewood. The kitchen looked un tidy and had a lot of ash. Also all the homes visited had not smeared their home facilities. During the home visit , she briefly told them the goals and objectives for the healthy and safe kitchens as the program that aimed at improving the general hygiene in the kitchen , reduce firewood and increase marriage relationship.participants had a lot of questions because they seemed to be interested and Kibo staff asked them to come to the meeting that will be communicated to them very soon to address all those questions. Participants promised to attend the meetings when ever called upon.
