Notes
Alex walyomu and Chris visited this village to update the community register and follow up on the requirements to receive goats, this is not a one-day event but it is a process that involves making sure every community household is eligible and well prepared to receive the kibo goat . The household is ready to receive the goat when they have been so active in the community projects, they have planted trees and taking care of them very well, their names are in the community constitution, they leave with in the community Kibo is working, they have all the requirements e.g latrines , rubbish pits, bathrooms, dish racks, and kitchens in their homes. While in the community Chris and Alex emphasized that the program is entirely for budumba village households but not households outside the community and therefore the leaders should make sure that every household is represented in the program. The chairperson mr Otim said indeed there are some two households outside the community who have been with the program since Kibo started working in budumba but have been very active. Mr Otim said is very hard to eject such members who have shown commitment towards the program however Alex walyomu and Chris said when some one shows they are committed and participate in all activities, the community leaders should consider them. Chris will visit again next week on Monday to conclude the activities of following up on requirements to receive goats and updating the community register, Chris will also introduce a new lesson of caring for goats.
