Notes
Abraham and Alex B met Kitukiro community members to discuss about how they are going to take care of their goats especially treating them. In last meeting, the members agreed to build shelters for the goats, plant grass for the goats but when it came for treating them some felt an comfortable to treat them as a community together. They gave reasons that some members may not be comparative because one goat can need serious attention while others are not, it may give relaxation of those whom their goats are not seriously sick. The chairperson LC1 Mr Kasadha Budala suggested that they can be with general check up of the goats but when it comes to serious sickness they can do separately. He said that even human beings there is sickness which needs quick attention and also those which can wait. Mr Simon said that he will be helping where it needs and if the situation is worse then they will be calling the vet doctor because for him he was trained by the government how to treat and take care of animals. Mrs Nakabuye Sarah also suggested that as a community they will be assessing their goats together and if the situation is bad they can advise the member to take action but when the animal is not seriously sick they will be planning to do it as a community together. Abraham and Alex B told the meeting about the clinic day where by three months after getting the vet doctor comes and checks all goats so that he can give recommendations or treat those who are sick. That day needs collective effort because to call a vet doctor alone may be difficult for one person but it becomes easy when they are together financially reminded. For example it may be difficult for one member to get two hundred thousand shillings but if they are seventy members it is easy because each member will contribute like almost three thousand shillings. They decided that for the next meeting they will continuing with caring for goats and how prepared they are with construction of standard or recommended goats shelters. They were also advised to start buying ropes for their goats.
