Notes: Manuela and Lorna went to Mpumiro and Bulyowa primary School to have their very first Pretest. A pretest is given to find out the students general knowledge about Life Skills . However we faced a challenge of overwhelming numbers where we had all 3 classes wanting to be part of the program. We had to go by age and also increase the age from 13 to 14 years in some cases. After getting the number of pupils in both Schools, Lorna and Manuela went ahead and gave them a pretest. Lorna and Manuela went ahead and mentioned that the test was not to scare them but it’s just a procedure under the life skills program and a requirement for that matter to guide us on what to teach. All together 217 pupils carried out the Pretest on Life Skills Education. After the test , Kibo staff went ahead and handed over the books , pens, charts, Manila cards, chalk, to the students and school staff respectively and then later all of this was crowned with Refreshments . We however told the students that these refreshments are given out once at the beginning and end of the program so they don’t have to expect them every time. Overall the students are happy and so are the Schools and Kibo staff to teach them.
