Notes
Ida carried out home visits in Bukoma C. She visited Sixteen homes observing the hygiene and sanitation. Stoves usage, checking on trees that Kibo gave and asking questions on community empowerment lessons. The sanitation is good, latrins are very good, dish racks are in place though some were eaten by termites, compounds are swept, stoves are being used those that Ida saw and musizi trees are doing well. Mr. Mpiya asked Ida to let him do the recap on the lessons covered which he did very well. He also added that the Good Samaritan story changed many lives. Those who were selfish, started sharing what they have. They are even working on changing the group’s name to Good Samaritan. Godfrey said that the story of the lost son touched him because his son did what the Bible lost son did but he forgave him after hearing the story in the weekly meetings. He continued thanking Kibo for such good life lessons. Kagoya Mpiya said her husband changed into the best husband because of Kibo lessons. Ida is soon phasing out from Bukoma C and she has observed that they can continue meeting on their own which shows the sign of sustainability. Mr.Duubu shared that they have a saving group which meets every other Saturday and they decided together as a group to keep that day to monitor all Kibo program projects such as stoves, goats, trees and the borehole not forgetting checking the facilities ( latrins, kitchens, trees, compounds.
