Notes
While in this community Chris , Alex walyomu, Alex bamulumbye, and Abraham visited ten homes before they met the entire community, this was done to mobilize the entire community to attend the meeting and as a result 46 household members came for the meeting, currently buluvu village has a total number of 242 homes, Alex walyomu and the team are making sure every house hold participates and benefits from the program, this involves empowering the leaders to mobilize the community on top of Mvule staff home to home visits to sensitize the community members about the Kibo programs. During the meeting Alex walyomu stated that Kibo group partners with the community in development which means both Kibo and the community have a part to play in ensuring that sustainable change in the community is reached at, he said Kibo focuses much on community uplift not individuals as that is the reason why Mvule program would like to reach every household not to leave any home behind, to fullfil this , Alex walyomu asked more two members to join the mobilization team , Mr kawanguzi and the wife joined and pledged to mobilize more new households to join this development program. Alex walyomu stated that Mvule community development program brings a kind of development including environmental conservation ( planting trees, starting income generating activities) the community can not afford to miss and therefore they should always attend meetings whenever they are called upon. Abraham stated that Mvule staff is on a mission of 100 percent community households engagement where no home is left behind that is the reason Kibo plans to give trees to those who did not get an opportunity of receiving trees from kibo however Abraham appealed to the community leaders to reach every home and encourage them to always attend meetings as that is the only way households will be sensitized and perhaps they will interest themselves in development activities. Alex walyomu thanked the community leaders for mobilizing for the day’s meeting which involved 46 members and encouraged them to mobilize more households for the next very important meeting, Alex walyomu shall be going back to this community to discuss with the community members how to plant trees, the importance of planting trees and the benefits of trees especially the new households who have just joined the program.
