Notes
Chris visited this village and discussed with the community households about the progress of the goats they received from Kibo group and introduced the idea of bringing offsprings back in community pool, chris also discussed with the community about Mvule’s intention of reducing the number of trips to this community. The meeting that involved 33 community members went on successful as the community members thanked Kibo for the goats they received , many household members gave report about how the goats were progressing, Mrs Nabirye Irene ogulo narrated his the goat she got from Kibo has rekindled her relationship with her husband, Mrs Nabirye Irene ogulo said her husband used to despise her as some one who had nothing to contribute to the family, she used to do odd jobs in the community but it was not enough to sustain her family and as a result her husband became impatient with her and she became hopeless as well, but when Kibo group introduced Mvule program in the community, Mrs Nabirye Irene ogulo saw it as an opportunity to bring back hope, love and unity in her family, she attributed her turning point to lessons like constitution writing, community economic activities and finally Kibo’s decision to give them the goats, Mrs Nabirye Irene ogulo says now she has a pan cakes business and a goat, she hopes to take care of the goat until it multiplies so she can get a cow out of the offsprings. Chris will continue with discussions about the progress of goats and how the community will deal with bringing back the offsprings back to the pool, chris will also continue hearing the community members’ success stories and what they hope to get from the goats they received, Chris believes that if everyone gets an opportunity to give their success story and the future plans they have for the goat, this will inspire many community households and thus give the community leaders a foundation to decide what to do with the goats’ offsprings.
