Notes
Diana went to Nawandyo B lower section to carry out home visits and community empowerment lessons. Diana moved with some of the executive members of the community. As she moved she met Kantono who really scored 95% of maintaining hygiene, the house was very clean, she had most of the things required by Kibo programs except the dish rack. Diana told Kantono, her sister in law, plus the husband of Kantono to build the dish rack and put doors on the pit latrine and the bathroom. He agreed. He went on to thank Diana for the hard work she has done in his family. He also said that he has not been attending the lessons, but encouraged his wife Kantono to be coming for the lessons. This is because his family is happy, they are living in love, the hygiene is good and character wise his wife is transformed. He said that in the next lesson, he will not miss. In the home visit, Diana noticed that most of the people in the lower section had really embraced the community empowerment lessons, and other new members said that they want to be coming for the lessons, because they have seen a lot of transformation in the people who attended the lessons.Diana encouraged them to come and attend, because she wants them to live a happy life like their neighbors are doing. The home visits really went on well, as Diana carried out some counseling sessions on some of the members. One member Sarah went for burial and came back only to find her husband when he had gone with another woman. She was all crying Diana talked to her not to lose hope she is still a beautiful and strong woman. She has to be strong for her children and also maintain her home. Diana told her that God is not yet done with her. Diana finished the home visits at 4:00pm, and told the upper section that they are the next on the list. The team she was moving with thanked her for visiting their village homes. They can’t wait to see her in their homes too.
