Notes
Abraham met Buluvu community members to discuss about the importance of planting trees targeting the new members. They went through the lesson and the chairperson LC1 Mr Bumali said that in Buluvu they had many big trees like Mvule, Mukhunu and others but now they do not see any of them. He added that they had bananas because they do well under shades but now there is no bananas. The new members wanted to know the size of the holes especially Mvule trees. Abraham told them that the importance of planting trees are many it covers the whole life because trees give us oxygen, fire wood, timber, tables, they are used as wind breakers and they help our crops like coffee to grow well. He told them that they are going to receive some few trees which they will plant this season. He also emphasized that they may receive few trees and it would good to think about the new members as a priority. He told them that with a Mvule the hole has to be 2x2x2 feet and put manure in it so that by the time of planting will be easy to plant. He added that they are hoping to receive like one hundred and thirty tree seedlings for planting. They were exited to hear that they are going to plant some trees and they discussed and concluded that at least each member will take one tree if possible to make sure each one gets. They are going list down those who will be planting trees, dig the holes and next trip will be taking trees for planting.
