Tom visited the village of Bubusa A to meet with the village leaders to discuss about kibo plans in the village. Before moving to the village he tried to contact two members from the village but he failed to reach them by phone.
When he arrived in the village, the chairman of the village was not present but his secretary, defense and a youth representative right away showed up after a few minutes. Tom introduced him self and asked about the borehole of it was rehabilitated after seeing that cars had visited the site of the borehole.
The secretary suggested that they go to the borehole. On reaching there, they said a certain group of people have been there for four days trying to retrieve a water pump which dropped in the borehole. They said they don’t know who they are.
Right away Tom called the assistant district water officer who confirmed that its a,company trying to assess the yield of the borehole to determine of it can be considered for a production well. The assistant district water officer confirmed the incident of the pump falling in the hole.
Tom and the group went back to the meeting place where other members of the village were gathered. Tom said he will wait for the district report about their decision on the borehole because committing to anything. He encouraged the chairman and the leaders to keep on touch and let Tom know of any developments
