- Martin and Steven were in Busanga, their intention was to meet with the local leaders and plan for the baseline survey. And to discuss with them, want is needed during the baseline survey. Unfortunately they reached the village when the chairman LC1 of the village was alone at the meeting place. so the kibo staff and the chairman, decided to walk around the village in few homes to access the home facilities, when they are waiting for other local leaders to come in the meeting. Good enough, in the homes they walked in, they had some home facilities like latrines, rubbish pits, kitchens, dish racks, shower areas etc. But the group was just encouraging them about standards and maintenance. After that they had a great meeting with a good number of leaders like the LC1 executive and health village team ( VHTS) and the meeting went well, because they said they are willing to work with kibo, to encourage the community members about the sanitation facilities.

Even if kibo have never taught them about hand washing facilities, they are used to wash their hands after visiting their latrines.
