Notes
David and Steven went to nawandyo B ,they were supposed to take the visitors there and see the progress of some of the Kibo programs which were in that village however, because of some sudden changes in the schedule of the visitors they went alone. David and Steven reached the village when a lot of members from A and B had gathered together waiting for them and also some women were making a stove in mr kige,s home . They had a meeting with about 69 people who had gathered at mr kige,s home . The Kibo staff started the meeting by apologising to them for the sudden changes which had occurred of not taking the visitors. In the meeting, David told them that they were supposed to have clean homes, and good sanitation facilities. Some member from section B asked the Kibo staff ,that how is the borehole related to our homes being clean. They replied mr kizito by telling him that the best way to live is to have clean water from the well ,in clean jerrycans home and in a clean environment(Safe water chain). He was so happy knowing all that. Kibo staff also continued demonstrating rightful sizes and standardisation of their home hygiene facilities. From there all the members from A and B moved to these homes which were still lagging behind .For example mr kasimu mpasa, kizito kibunduka, wankayi matiya,Buruno kibunduka ,kasambago Paul. They were all working on their pits and all were about to get finished. The only challenge they had was from mr Ibra who was working on a slower pace. They therefore encouraged them to work hard since those facilities were in their homes. They never wanted the diseases to come from lbra,s home to other members who had worked so hard to improve on the sanitation standards. The challenge with lbra is that he keeps running when he sees the Kibo staff. The committee said they saw him from some where in the bush. They therefore said they would talk to him and encourage him to love his home and family and he can do this by acquiring these facilities so as for them not to fall sick. In general the majority of the community members were working and maintaining the home hygiene facilities to the required standards, except those few members mentioned above who were still working and improving on their facilities. They left the village with an assignment to start thinking how they would come up with a good water and sanitation committee because Kibo hopes to give this community a borehole to reduce on the longer distances moved from their homes to the only water source which was there.r
