Suzan went to the village purposely to follow up on the smearing of the facilities at the upper section of the village as well as to teach about the materials required for building the fuel efficient stoves.
When she arrived, she found a few committee group members at the meeting place near the mosque and together they began walking home to home while monitoring different facilities. Suzan observed that some kitchens were well smeared although the members were found cooking on the three stones open flames.
Other kitchens were not smeared both from the inside and outside parts and the three stones open flames stoves messed up the kitchen with ash scattered all over the place. Suzan kept on encouraging the participants to improve on their facilities before the stove building lessons began and that only those with good kitchens will be the first to receive the stoves.
On hearing this, the members promised to begin repairing and smearing all their facilities because they were tired of living unhealthy life in their kitchens. Kibo staff also kept on showing the participants the materials required for building the stoves while on their way walking and some women uprooted the grass while tying it in bundles. In the end, the community members were grateful for the lessons and they promised to attend all the lessons for an effective development.
