Notes
Jeska and Tape were in Mpumiro village to continue teaching participants in group c how to build stoves. They first removed banana stems from the first stove to be built in this village as they explained the whole process. The owner of the stove( the old woman Jeska ) was very excited and thought that she would start cooking on her stove that day. Kibo staff told her that she need to smear her stove again and give it more two weeks to dry completely before she starts cooking on it. They later went to the next home to build the second stove but the challenge was there is low attendance in this section and those who turned up for the meeting wanted to passively attend. Kibo staff asked them to participate in the lesson especially stamping the dirt because the program aims at empowering them with a skill of building stoves so that they can build on their own. Kibo staff built a stove as they explained the whole process to the participants . Interestingly there is an active man from group A ( Tiffu) who picked interest in learning how to measure banana stems and he wants to be in charge of that when ever they build stoves. Kibo staff encouraged him to always attend the stove building lessons, keep on practicing because practice makes perfect.
