- Keneth and Steven visited budumba village to conduct hand washing triggering,on arrival, the weather was not pleasing and they took time to mobilize since member were fearing the rains but later they got some members as the weather got clear. The chairman addressed members and introduced keneth and Steven to the people and keneth thanked members who endeavored to come and started with telling the community why they visted their village is to learn together how and why we should wash our hands. He posed a question to the community that what are some of the diseases we get when our hands are dirty? Diarrhea,typhoid, dysentery, trachoma and corona are some the answers the community gave and keneth explained fiurrther on how to keep our hands clean as he engaged the community with demonstrations of waste water differences before and after using soap and the community realized that there is a difference when we use soap and they all agreed to start using soap or Ash wash their hands. He further got a volunteer whom he demonstrated with charcoal to relate dirt and later keneth asked him to gently put his nails on the posho so that the charcoal under his nails demonstrating dirt will remain on the posho and community realized they have been sharing food with people who have dirt under the fingernails and don’t wash their hands clean. Steven also came in with the demonstration of the hand washing model and the later they handed over the Kibo jerrycans and cement for members to construct the stands.
