Keneth and Steven visited butamoga village to conduct a triggering in hand washing session, help residents realize their sanitation status with behaviors like wall contamination with feaces, anal cleansing materials, dirt under fingernails and food sharing. On arrival, the community was readybfor the session and they included all children since the session was also helpful to them and after the chairperson introductions keneth started off with thanking the community members efforts to come fo the lessons. He introduced him self to the community and aslo told them the purpose of the day’s lesson as he started by asking them the uses of their own hands and the community gave answers like eating, anal cleansing, scratching itchy parts, breastfeeding, bathing, washing utensils, and many more and keneth health educated them on how misconduct can lead to diseases like diarrheal, typhoid, dysentery and many more and asked the community if there was one with clean hands to come in-front and some volunteers came and demonstrated with two residents and showed the crowd the difference between the waste water before and after washing with soap. The other resident was asked to smear charcoal in her hands even in the nails and washed her hands with water and no soap and was asked to gently pinch in the posho leaving marks on the food and letting the community realizing that there is always dirt under fingernails and it’s unhealthy to share food with people with long nails and who don’t wash their hands clean with soap. Keneth introduced Steven who took the community through the stands model method and it’s standards and asked a volunteer who came in to learn how to build and will help the community
