Notes
Harriet went to Kalulu village to mobilize the participants for healthy and safe kitchens lessons. She teamed up with the secretary for women’s affairs Ms. Masaka Rehema and the Vht Ms Kekulina Edith. This home to home visit was intended to ease community mobilization as well as give first hand invitation to the community members for the meetings. They decided to focus on the homes from the upper section of the village because the leaders at times focus on the nearby homes. During the home to home visit she observed that most people cooked on the traditional three open flames, some left young children to cook food for the family as they attended to the gardens thus exposing them to fire accidents. They walked through over 25 homes as Harriet briefly introduced the healthy and safe kitchen program to the people found at home, most people showed much interest in the program and wanted to know more about the program. Harriet used the dialogue she had with them in their homes as an invitation to come to the meeting scheduled for 23/3/ 2022. She also asked the homes reached that day to pass the information to those ones who were not found at home and those who were not reached. The people reached thanked kibo for physically inviting them to meetings and promised to attend the healthy and safe kitchens program .
