Bible Lesson 7: The Tongue
Notes
Ida went to Naibowa and taught a lesson about the Tongue. She asked if anyone knew what the Tongue was. Some said that a small organ of our body .others started naming languages such as lusoga, lusamya, lunyole, luganda and many others. Ida asked Wilber to read a scripture from the book of James 3:2-12. After the story, Kabasomi Margaret told a true story about her life. She has a neighbour who wanted to ruin her friendship with her sister inlaw. She told the sister in law that Margaret's son was having an affair with her daughter. The good thing was that the son who was suspected was at school in Tororo. So it was good that Margaret had heard about the story of the five mice taught by Ida in Buhnena some years back. She asked her sister in law to first explore the rumor before reacting. They worked together and finally found out that it was a total lie. The person who brought the rumor, asked for forgiveness but it wasn't easy for the two to forgive eachother. Ida asked Margaret to tell the story of the mice to the community which was interesting and educating. Hakim said that many marriages have broken because of hearing phases not the whole story. Ida concluded with a memory verse from the book of Ephesians 4:29. Naibowa wished if the district counsellors were present.
