Notes
Jeska went to the village to continue guiding the participants to build stoves on their own. This time she focused on members from group C to ensure that they learn how to build stoves which is one of the program goals. On arrival to the village she found the community already participating in the first stove building steps such as stamping the dirt and cutting the banana stems. She joined them in stamping the dirt until it got ready for building. The participants carried the dirt inside the kitchen and began building the stove while Jeska was guiding them. This was to make sure they mastered all the steps perfectly so that they are able to build better stoves for more people in the community. One stove was successfully built with Jeska’s guidance. During the process of building stove there were a lot of argument between the community members especially when it came to creating the vent. Jeska encouraged them to always listen to one another( especially those who have not learnt to listen to those who have so far learnt). Also group A and B built two stoves on their own and were perfectly. After the stove building exercise a brief meeting was held where Jeska encouraged the community to continue working together respect one another for the program to be successful.that. She encouraged everyone to keep attending all the program lessons and practicing to build stoves on their own for future perfection as well as improving on their home facilities. She also requested them to avoid conflicts during the program activities because conflicts will draw them backward and fail to implement more activities. The community members thanked Jeska for the advice and lessons taught and the meeting came to an end.
