Keneth and Steven made a visit to kigalama to conduvt a hand washing triggering session.
On arrival, keneth and Steven together with the chairman of the water and sanitation committee made walks to mobilize members for the session .
During the session , the chairman welcomed Kibo again in their village and thanked them for being merciful upon the community members’ and welcomed Steven who took members in the home ideal facilities construction and standards and welcomed keneth who came in with the reason for the day’s lesson to be hand washing and asked members uses of their hands and they gave in answers like for eating, anal cleansing, digging, breast feeding, washing , scratching, bathing and many more and keneth asked them further how are these uses related to diseases ?
One member rose up and said they are related since they help in transmission of diseases.keneth thanked him and further explained the feacal oral transmission ways and helped members realize why they have to wash hands with soap by doing a demo of waste water difference before and after using soap.
Further keneth came in with a demo of dirt under nails and food sharing demonstrating with charcoal smearing and washing hands without soap and letting this volunteer gently prick his fingers in the posho and showing it to members how the dirty arks of charcoal are left indicating dirt and they all agreed that they will keep their fingers nails cut short and always wash their fingers with soap or ash.
Keneth invited Steven to take them through the building and demonstration of hand washing stand and it’s standards and it’s benefits over the tiptap
